Ok I should make a non proper update at least as I've been off with the fairies for nearly 2 weeks now thanks to some of life's hiccups. Nearly two weeks ago we had come home from a day in the city/movies and spent the night doing a whole lot of nothing, got the rats out for a play and discovered Biscuit was acting a bit strange. She's always been a fatty but even alison had said "does she look fatter to you tonight?", flipped her over and the poor thing is bleeding profusely from her genitals. Freaking out ensues followed by frantic searching of potential causes and which vet I'm going to ring in the morning. Ended up going to a place in Fitzroy who I've been REALLY happy with btw. Initially it seemed to be a cause of pyometra but by the morning some tissue had protruded and was looking more and more like a uterine prolapse. Vet had a look, lubed her up and gently pushed it back in and booked a follow up for monday night. Well it prolapsed again later that night, we tried as best we could to get it back in but it had come out within an hour or so. ( Read more... ) |

I have nothing of value to post in my boredom so have an assortment of my favourite macros and shiz ( Part 1 )Xmas presents for ally For alissha(sorry not a macro) For c0sm0naut For nerdi Hmm these were pretty much just what was in my photobucket account. Damn that's nowhere near all the ones I wanted to post, let alone the ones on my laptop. I will spread them out over my nights of boredom and then maybe a post of lulzy gifs |

I was perusing my animal pics and found some of mum's dog and decided to look up his breed on google images. They don't seem to be too popular and there's still only a small handful online. So I had a looksee at the site I came across when I first bought him, a woman that has a dog just like him only in white. Lo and behold, on closer inspection, Lion Island is in the background of one of the pics. I always thought it looked like home! I bet they're from the same breeder too (he was also on the central coast and even funnier he has the same name as mum's dog). I know this is really pertinent to anything but I like weird and wonderful coincidences |

I have a sore toe so I decided to use one of the Bacon and Eggs Band-aids that Lana got me for Christmas and when I opened it up guess who I found inside! Isn't he cute? I ate some of his kind today at work. It was great. I'm chopping off my hair tomorrow, oh noes! ::edit because oinky was drowning in the whiteness of my desk:: |

So Alison and I have decided to move to Melbourne. Woah! Though it won't be until our lease is up at the end of September. I hope the time flies. I've always wanted to move to Melbourne since I first visited Lish there but could never afford to on my own. I called mum and broke the news and she handled it surprisingly well. A little TOO well considering when I first moved to Epping she threatened to get rid of my cats... She was all 'ok well I'm sad about it but if it's what you want'. Shall be interesting getting organised and finding somewhere to live/work. I have to get my car up to scratch for rego anyway so hopefully that can come down (and get Lish to teach me to drive :P). We don't have much furniture but the scooter will need to go down with what little we own. OMG IT'S ALL SO CRAZY! I am going to get so plump, it will be grand. I will also stalk The Basics on a more frequent basis. And freeze my ta-tas off. I do not enjoy this suddenly chilly weather, it prevents me from sleeping naked. This is a very serious predicament. EDIT: So I currently have 140 hours annual leave owing. That is a shitload and considering I won't take any time off (or only minimal amounts) between now and the move that = $$$$$$$$. Ooh yeah baby |

I just ate way too much chicken cacciatore and now I feel ill. So I found out the other night that my grandfather is in hospital dying of cancer. That came as a bit of a surprise I must say. Turns out he's known for over a year and didn't tell anyone, that's my pa for you. He isn't fazed by anything. When I finally caught up with him at christmas he looked really pale and skinny (he's always been as fit as a fiddle, we thought he would outlive all of us) but I figured it was just because he was getting old. A few years ago I house-sat for him when he was in hospital having precancerous tissue removed from his lung but it mustn't have done the job. But in that time it has also spread to his stomach so yeah, end stage. He is refusing chemo which as much as I hate saying it is a good thing. My instinct is to say 'FIGHT THAT FUCKER!' but the reality is that he's an 84 year old man who has had a great life. Even if he did make it through the chemo there would just be something else going to take him. I just hope that it's quick and he's as comfortable as possible. We are organising to all go up next weekend, somehow. Ok cheer up charlie. Rocky horror on tuesday was AMAZING! I got a lap dance from a drag dressing no doubt gay man who had the most ridiculous abs I've ever seen. Whoa. Like janet I'm now a muscle fan. I do not have high enough praise for the production, I want to go every night! Today I headed to broadway and picked up my green contact lenses. They're not as comfortable as my others though so I'm not going to wear them to laneway tomorrow. I also am in a baking phase so yesterday I splurged and bought myself a springform cake tin and made the most delicious devils food cake. Then today I bought a cheap electric mixer and some triple choc muffin mix along with some muffin trays which I'll probably take to work as one of the flatmates is away this week and alison is a vegan. I'm alone with one of the couples this weekend and as nice as they are, couples in general squick me out. Especially when they don't close the bedroom door... I'm totally into the word 'grody' at the moment but have yet the opportunity to use it |

Haha there's a post in sydneysiders about some clothing sale thing a few doors down from me. Pls not to be invading my street with craptastic clothes pls k thanx. Tonight I am finally seeing a live production of rocky horror picture show, woot! I'm just getting excited now, I wish we weren't in row S. But I have my contacts so at least I can see. I want richard o'brien to come out and perform like he did the other day. I have to go to the shops and buy some food for dinnerz this week, I need to not be naughty and be tempted by macca's on the way home. It's self inflicted how I've been feeling the last couple of weeks, it's hard to get the energy to cook when you're already sick/exhausted. No more takeaway for a while! I called the optometrist yesterday re: my lack of green contacts and the girl was like 'oh um yeah um they'll be in in a couple of days yeahhhhh'. Right so in other words you forgot to order them? I'm onto you missy! I don't really care, I haven't paid for them. It would be nice if I get them before sunday but I have a shitload of clear ones anyway so I'm not too worried. On that note I've been thinking (OMG!) and on my drivers licence it says I have to wear specs or contacts. What if I get pulled over and I tell them I'm wearing contacts, do I have to prove it? Curiouser and curiouser... |
